Divergent by Veronica Roth

Hello! Sorry for the late nighter it slipped my mind.... 'Kay so today's book is...

I promised! I was going to do Twilight but... maybe next week!

SYNOPSIS: So Tris lives in a world divided into 'factions' or sects, or partitions, or whatever you want to call it. They represent selflessness (Abnegation), peace (Amity), honesty (Candor), wisdom (Erudite), and bravery (Dauntless). Tris transfers from Abnegation to Dauntless and she learns she is Divergent. I won't say what it is, so I won't spoil anything.

Rating: I would give it 5 out of 5 stars.

CRITIQUES: Well, for one, Four is too old for her. Haha for, four, get it? And she is too pessimistic. Yeah, yeah we get your not pretty, you can stop repeating it over and over

Something to say...

Hello faithful readers.

I just wanted to tell y'all something. So today I was rereading the Hunger Games when all of a sudden...

LIGHTBULB!!! Peeta is named after Pita bread. Call me dumb, but I thought it was just a remix version of Peter! When I realized this, I guess it made sense, him being a baker's son and all.
And I'm sorry I couldn't post on Sunday. I was SUPER busy. Bye guys!

The Testing by Joelle Charboneau

Hi faithful readers! Sorry I couldn't post earlier. I was busy today. Finally, 31 pageviews! YAY!! This calls for....

A CELEBRATION!!! YAY!!! :)

Okay, now down to today's book...

So when I saw this book, I am like judging it already. It only has half a circle on it, so here I am thinking 'Half a circle = half the quality.' Am I a genius or what?

SYNOPSIS: There is a girl named Malencia Vale who goes by Cia and is your typical smart, survivor, perfect, awesome boyfriend storybook girl. She has to overcome an evil government thing and beat a bunch of people in a series of tests.

OVERALL: Yeah, yeah, your typical Dystopian fiction novel. The only problem seems to be that I can't relate to any of the characters. I'm so cheesy and flippant and they are all... Stiff. Haha, Divergent reference!!! (I will review it next week.)

AGE GROUP: I just added this category. I would say tween, teenish is the minimum age.

RATING: 4 stars, due to boring characters

All right, i am trying to up my Page-views to 40 so share this blog with your friends!

Here is the URL, if needed: http://iamabookcritic.blogspot.com/

And please comment if you want me to review a book. Happy Sunday!!!

Rules by Cynthia Lord and U.S. Presidents by Basher and Dan Green

HELLO EVERYBODY!!! Happy President's Day! To those of you who had a day off: WOOHOO ME TOO and to the people who had to go to school, I hope you learned something. I'm sorry I haven't posted for the last couple weeks, but keep in mind I am human and I don not have two brains. Recite this five times: PIE PI IS A HUMAN NOT A ROBOT.  Oh who am I kidding. Pie Pi isn't even my real name!
Okay! Now down to business....
Dig the duck!

SYNOPSIS: A girl named Catherine basically has an autistic brother, and she has to create rules for him so he doesn't do anything crazy (like put toys in the fish tank!) In this story, she learns about looking underneath the surface to find a true friend.

<snorts> typical kid book stuff.

OPINION: Well, Catherine's feelings are all jumbled  up and she makes friends with a DUDE. (thunder claps) Not only that, he can't walk, or speak, but seems good-looking. And I quote "...stunning icy blue eyes." Sumtin like that ;) And so in the whole story I am like:

Do you like him?

Do you like her?

It's all like to bae or not to bae, that is the question....

Okay here is the spoiler....

Catherine asks the dude to a dance. And she's like "we're just friends" and here I am thinking, "So do you like him or not?"

OVERALL: 3 stars. Sorry.

There isn't really a synopsis for this. It's a book of facts, but they are told in a funny way and they aren't all

'I abolished slavery'

'I was a founding father.'

Some are funnier like

'i couldn't fit in the bathtub'

If you want to know who that was, you'll have to read the book.

OVERALL: It makes for a really great read, and for those Basher book fans, I'm with ya! High five! (slaps computer) 5 out of 5 stars!!!

If you want me to review a book, please comment below!

Share this blog with your friends, because I only have 28 pageviews. I know that seems really conceited but....

Anyway, happy Monday!

The Selection Trilogy

Hello everyone! Today's book is....

The Selection by Kiera Cass

SYNOPSIS: There is a hot girl named America Singer who is poor and is dating a poor hot boy. (duh). So basically, there's this prince, and he needs a wife. The Selection is held to single out the girl who Prince Maxon will marry. Now this is a trilogy so there are three books: The Selction, The Elite, The One  At the end the girls are all narrowed down to seven girls, who are called the Elite. In this exciting book, she discovers the royal family may not be as awesome as promised

OPINION: Nice book.

AND... This book is pretty good and fun to read. However, it is a bit predictable. I won't spoil anything though :) I'd give it 3.5 stars

Princess Academy by Shannon Hale

Hello everyone! Happy MLK day! For today's books, I will be doing Princess Academy

SYNOPSIS: This book is about a girl who lives on a village on Mount Eskimo. Just kidding, it's Mount Eskel. So this girl has a crush on this guy at home named...PETER! No it's Peder. So the Prince needs a bride and priests have declared Mount Eskel home of the princess. She has to attend an academy to learn reading, writing, and ballroom dancing. What? She is in Princess Academy after all. And there's fierce competition between the girls and one isn't even from Mount Eskimo. DUN DUN DUN!!! Who will prevail. Yeah, and there's a twist. Or is there...

OPINION: I liked this book and give it 3 3/4 stars.

IN CONCLUSION ... : This book is a little old. This theme has been used in books such as the Selection triology; where a poor girl rises to the top. But the ending is a little different. Happy Readings!

F in Exams

This book isn't normal. It isn't really popular so you might not have heard about it. I couldn't find a book cover for it either so... yeah.

SYNOPSIS:  A bunch of hilarious answers to regular, everyday test question. This is a good book for tweens and teens.

OPINION: I liked it a lot, because I laughed.  It's not really good for anything and doesn't teach lessons.

ALL IN ALL...:  I give it 3 stars out of 5
